While Jenn and I were in Nebraska for BIG Omaha (post forthcoming on the Social Lites blog), we decided to catch an early IMAX screening of the new Star Trek movie.

“What’s with that whole ‘2012ad’ thing?”

You wouldn’t know it from talking to me now, but there was a time in my life when I was a lot more introverted. I was trying to figure out who I was and what my place was in the world, and I was a very hesitant and somewhat closed-minded person. I was afraid to try new things, meet new people, and take risks to get what I wanted. I was content to settle for less than the best, as long as it meant I didn’t have to step out of my shell and challenge myself.
